## 1. Purpose

SCNUED is provided for academic, non-commercial research in EEG-based emotion recognition, affective computing, brain-computer interfaces, and related scientific studies.

## 3. Permitted Use

The recipient may use SCNUED for non-commercial research, education, benchmarking, and publication of aggregate scientific findings, provided that this agreement and any applicable institutional ethics requirements are followed.

## 4. Restrictions

The recipient must not:

- redistribute, sell, sublicense, upload, or otherwise share the raw BDF files with third parties;
- attempt to identify, contact, profile, or re-identify any participant;
- use the dataset for commercial products, clinical diagnosis, medical decision-making, employment decisions, insurance decisions, or surveillance;
- publish participant-level raw data or derivatives that allow reconstruction of participant-level EEG recordings;
- remove dataset attribution, license notices, or QC notes.

## 5. Data Security

The recipient must store the data in a secure research environment, limit access to authorized project members, and delete local copies when they are no longer needed for the approved research purpose.

## 6. Publications and Citation

Publications using SCNUED must acknowledge SCNUED and cite the associated SCNUED paper. The final citation and DOI should be used once available.

## 7. No Warranty

SCNUED is provided as-is for research use. The provider does not guarantee fitness for any particular purpose and is not responsible for conclusions drawn from use of the data.
